WAITER

Its been two months since I left London and moved to my hometown Halden. This is what has happened. After working my nubs off waiting on starving guests for a month, the restaurant shut down and couldn't come up with the anticipated Norwegian salary. 180 hours of hard labour is still not honoured, and I will not see that paycheck before October. Anyway, I have found myself another fulltime job where I work with people that have schizophrenia, a really nice job, filled with interessting and challenging people. I still work there. I still wait for a paycheck. On my speartime I have turned into what the industry refers to as a waiter-whore. I work at three restaurants to fill in the gaps. I like it though. Sticky hands.

Tomorrow I will know if I got into the Norwegian School of Management/Economics. It is nervewrecking. And this feeling has been my shadow for the last sixty days. What is going to happen next? Anyone?

On a lighter side, I get to spend a lot of time with my girlfriend. And that has truly made my summer. She is amazing.
